Panther Pride Purple Jacket Club Members

This club consists of an elite group of men and women whose tireless efforts and contributions are priceless.  Each year, the Purple Jacket members are reunited in their purple blazers and acknowledged on the field at halftime of the annual Homecoming football game.  The members of the “Purple Jacket Club” epitomize the partnership between a school and its community.  They wear the purple with pride and have our undying gratitude.

2012 - Ron Ewer- Legacy Ford

Ron is the owner of Legacy Ford in Rosenberg and he has been supporting youth sports, schools and activities in Sienna and all over Fort Bend County since they moved to Sienna in 2006.  He has been a tremendous supporter of RPHS and Panther Pride since the school opened, with his most well known contribution being the annual tradition of fireworks at the homecoming pep rally, which he and Tammy Edwards surprised the entire student body with at the first pep rally in 2011.  Ron is also a certified shooting instructor and has been a big part of the success of the RP FFA shooting team.  His wife Juliana has chaired the Booster Ball for 6 years, making it into the biggest fundraising event in our area.  Their son Brandon (’15) was a 3-time District and Regional Swimming Champion and record holder, a 3-time State finalist in multiple events for the Panthers, and is now swimming for Rider University in New Jersey.  Their son, Cameron (’17) played football, was on the RP FFA shooting team which finished 6th overall at State in 2016, including two second place team medals, was active in other FFA activities, and is currently playing lacrosse for The Citadel.

2013 - Donald and Jennifer Leonetti-
Leonetti Graphics

Donald was the owner of Leonetti Graphics, who produces the lion’s share of the signage and printed merchandise for RPHS, and for all of the other schools and sports teams in the area.  Donald and Jenni are lifelong members of the Missouri City community and for 27 years the Leonetti family has generously supported the schools and athletics teams in the area, including starting and still strongly supporting the RPHS Young Life program.  Donald was lost to us in 2014 and Panther Pride honored his memory by awarding a purple jacket to his wife Jenni at the Homecoming Game in 2014.  Their son Matthew (’14) was a top golfer for the Panthers and graduated in the first four-year senior class at RPHS, and their daughter, Lauren graduated in 2018 and was an active in RP Young Life and other RPHS activities.  Fort Bend ISD honored Donald by opening an elementary school in his name.  Donald Leonetti Elementary, located at 1757 Waters Lake Blvd. in Sienna Plantation opened its doors in the fall of 2017.

2014 - Mike DeLuca -
One Source Risk Management & Funding

Mike is the senior partner at One Source Risk Management in Sugar Land and has been an active member of the community for over 13 years.  Along with his support of RPHS and area programs, he has also served as a tireless member of the Booster Ball committee for multiple years.    His two children, Devin (’14) and Lauren (’14) were both top tier graduates in the first four-year graduating class at RPHS ((they donated the flags you see in the gymnasium as a thank you for the impact RPHS had on them).  Devin attended Texas A&M as a Marine Corps ROTC National Scholarship recipient.  He held leadership positions in the Parsons Mounted Cavalry Division of the Corps of Cadets. He graduated with a flight contract as an officer in the USMC and is also now happily married to his beautiful wife Terry.  Lauren played soccer and ran cross country at RPHS, reaching the state cross country finals twice, as well as being very active in the journalism and yearbook programs.  She was awarded multiple scholarships and graduated from Auburn University Cum Sum Laude.  She is now a professional photographer living in California.

2015 - Omar Mata - Elevated Tracking Solutions

Omar owns Elevated Tracking Solutions and also works with the Sienna Plantation Residential Association.  He and his wife Trina have lived in Sienna Plantation for 12 years and have been active supporters of the Sienna community for many years, working for various youth sports and and other organizations in the neighborhood, and being key volunteers and board members at Sienna Crossing Elementary, Baines Middle School and RPHS.  Trina is currently running the communications and volunteer coordination of the VIPS program at RPHS, and is the webmaster and Booster Ball Sponsor Chair for Panther Pride.  Only two of their five children have made it to RPHS: Austin (’18) plays football and is active in journalism, and Dallas (’19) plays football and is in the engineering club.  Their upcoming daughters are Sydney (’24), Madison (’26), and Ava (’27), and all three are attending Sienna Crossing and are active in swimming for Sienna Plantation Aquatics (SPA), dance and Girl Scouts.

2016 - Brian Smith, D.V.M. -
Sienna Plantation Animal Hospital

Dr. Smith owns Sienna Plantation Animal Hospital, which houses his veterinary practice.  He has been a staunch supporter of community activities and organizations since he purchased the very first veterinary office in Sienna in 2007.  He was one of the first Panther Pack members of Panther Pride back in 2010 and has been one of the most enthusiastic supporters of RPHS ever since.  He and his wife, Sarah, live in Sienna with their four young children, Abigail, Juliet, Ian and Violet.  At the 2016 Booster Ball, Sarah was due to give birth to Violet at any moment, but she attended the event to see Dr. Smith receive his purple jacket and to dance to the Spazmatics.  Violet (RPHS ’34!!!) was born on the following Monday and Panther Pride likes to think of her as our first Booster Baby.  Dr. Smith and his family are excited to be a part of future RPHS events as their children grow up and eventually become Panthers, knowing they have been part of Ridge Point since the beginning.

2017- Alicia Jimerson-Knox
Jimerson Underground

Alicia is the owner of Jimerson Underground and she received her purple jacket at the 2017 Booster Ball.  Alicia and her husband John Knox are Dulles high school and Texas A&M graduates, and have lived their whole lives in our community.  Alicia has been a sponsor and active supporter of multiple sports and youth organizations in Sienna, including Panther Pride, and RPFFA.  She is a former President of the Houston Contractor’s Association, the first female to reach that post. She is also a Director of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo, and has been a committee chair for the Booster Ball for three years.  John owns a local CPA firm,  has served on multiple boards in the community, including Panther Pride, the RPFFA Booster Club, Sienna MUD, and youth sports leagues, and he was the originator and driving force behind the creation of the RPFFA Shooting Team and booster club.  Their children are all Panthers: Blake (’14)played baseball and ran cross country and Brad (’16) served multiple years as an officer in the FFA, played tennis, and competed at State for the RPFFA shooting team that finished 6th in2016.  Both boys are currently in the engineering program at Texas A&M.  Abby (’17)and Ashley (’17) are both ran cross country for the Panthers, and were multi-year officers and very active members of the RPFFA.  Both of the girls were part of the FFA Poultry Judging National Champion Team in2016, and were on the FFA Shooting Team that placed 3rdin the State Finals in2017.  They both joined their brothers at Texas A&M in the fall of 2017.

2018-19 John Carpenter

John Carpenter was on the Panther Pride board of directors from 2011 to 2018, serving six years as president.  He oversaw the tremendous army of volunteer parents, committee chairs, board members, directors, coaches and administrators that built Ridge Point’s facilities, traditions and spirit in our first eight years in existence.  He has been active in the community as a coach, volunteer and board member for the community's youth baseball and softball programs, and for the RPHS FFA.  John was very proud to have been a part of the leadership of Panther Pride, and he hopes that in the years to come there will be many more parents in the Panther community that will step up and give our booster club the support and leadership it needs to keep Ridge Point in the upper echelons of Texas high school athletics. His wife, Wendy, was an avid supporter of Ridge Point football, baseball and tennis, and supported Panther Pride’s activities all the way into their garage every year in preparation for the Booster Ball.  John’s son, Dan (class of ’15), was a starter and letterman on the first three varsity football teams and played baseball as a freshman. He played football for his first two years a Rice University, and graduated in 2019 with a degree in mechanical engineering. John’s daughter, Megan (class of ’19), played three years on the Ridge Point tennis team, and was a member of the FFA and the yearbook program.  Megan will be attending Texas Tech, studying media and marketing.

2018-19 Dr. Gee
Gee Eye Care

Dr. Gee also known as #SiennaEyeDoc owns and operates Gee Eye Care, Sienna Plantation’s first eye care facility.  He is a graduate of the University of Houston earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1998 and Doctor of Optometry in 2002. Gee Eye Care was established in 2007 to serve, Dr. Gee was longing for a community feel like when he started his career in 2002 at Scott & White in Temple in, Texas.  As a result, Dr. Gee decided to build a house and his office at the same time in Sienna Plantation and dedicate his efforts to the community.  Since then he was one of the first Panther Pack members and contributes to multiple other organizations and all the schools in the community.  Although Dr. Gee and his wife, Brandi do not have school aged children yet he believes strongly in participating and being a supporter of the community for the greater cause.  

 

Dr. Gee has served on the Board of Directors and was President of the Texas Optometric Association in 2013.  He was named Young Optometrist of the Year by the TOA in 2011 and Optometrist of the Year in 2018.  He also continues to serve as the Chair of the Meetings Committee and helps organize the student chapter of the TOA at the University of Houston College of Optometry where he held a clinical faculty position from 2006-2018. Dr. Gee has also been appointed to multiple committees for the American Optometric Association and is Missouri City’s only Board Certified Optometrist. He has been recognized as a guest lecturer and speaker throughout the nation as well as internationally.  Dr. Gee also participates in the care of athletes throughout the city at the University of Houston as well as the 2017 World Series Champion Houston Astros.  

 

Finally, in his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and most would consider him a “foodie.”  Dr. Gee is friends with many of the esteemed Chefs in Houston and that also led him to participate in the Annual Southern Smoke hosted by James Beard Award Winning Chef (’15) Chris Shepherd that benefits the MS Society as well as those in the hospitality industry affected by Hurricane Harvey.  2018 was the third consecutive year that Dr. Gee was a project supporter of this event.  When not in the office you might find Dr. Gee fiddling with gadgets or chasing his son around.
